Assault on Pine Mountain

Today I was at the first running of the Assault on Pine Mountain trail race near Cartersville, Georgia.   The race was another event from Mountain Goat Adventures.

Strong Adventure Race

Saturday I was at the Strong Adventure Race that took place around the  Lake Ocoee area in Tennessee. I captured images of the 2 hour youth race and the 6 hour adult race.  The youth race was fun  for the kids and the adult race had a very good course with lots of challenges of route choices.

Jeff Papenfus Killed In Fall On Trail

An adventurer racer and mountain bike rider that I know was killed during a training ride in North Carolina last Saturday.  Story here. (post)   I had met Jeff and seen him at a number of events during the past few years and he was always smiling and enjoying life.  He will be missed by the mountain bike and adventure  racing communities.

My best wishes are with his family and close friends in this time of sadness.

Siege on Fort Yargo Adventure Race

Today I was at the Siege on Fort Yargo Adventure Race near Winder, Georgia.  The race is a beginner friendly sprint race put on by the Trailblazers Adventure Racing Club.

Sutallee Trace Trail Challenge

Today I was at the Sutallee Trace Trail Challenge event in Canton, Georgia.  The race had either a 4 or 10 mile option and was another event from Mountain Goat Adventures.
